"The Grandfather" My Tree Trunk Paragraph

Like the narrator in “The Grandfather” by Gary Soto, I surround myself by a strong group of friends. I consider the group of friends to be my family. These people are my family because I knew some of them for a long time and I knew I could go to them if I was having trouble with something and knew they would help me. They give me strength by encouraging me to do well in school, and keeping me out of trouble. An example of a time when I depended on them was when I need help studying for a test so I asked them and they helped me with everything I needed so I can pass the test. A tree symbolizes family because it starts out small then over time it starts to grow and sooner or later the tree is thirty-feet tall.
