When you get to this place you see kids running and having fun. While you are there you can taste the oxygen in the air. When you are at this place you hear the sound of kids cleats scraping at the grass you also hear the sounds of kids celebrating after they catch a ball to score for their team. At this place you can feel the wet grass and you can also feel the skin of a football.

Third Quarter Goals Reflection

My goals for this quarter is pay attention in all my classes and turn in all my work. My second goal is to do all my work so I can be on the football team. My last goal is to past the ninth grade with great grades. Some things I did to achieve my first goal is being on top of all my work and making sure I finish all the assignments so I can turn them in the next day. Some thing I did to achieve my second goal is to motivate myself as much as possible because I really want to be on the football team. And one thing I did to achieve my last goal is to make sure I get all my assignments so I can complete them and turn them in. One thing I’m doing well in is completing all my assignments. One thing I have to do different is trying hardest to get off two hour because I want to get off and some people want me to get off two hour as well. At the end of the quarter I expect to feel relieved because I went the whole quarter trying my best to keep my grades up and trying to get off two hour. I want to feel relived because the first two quarters I was doing bad and myself and others noticed it so I started trying my best because I actually wanted to achieve my goals so I started turning in my work and staying on top of all my classes so I can make my goals achievable.  

Poetry Experience Paragraph

I know that in poetry that some poems rhyme, and some don’t. In the past I studied poetry because I hade to write some poems as an assignment, and sometimes I had to read about how poems are written and how some poems are understood. on my spear time I read some poems because I either have nothing to do or I nothing to read but when I do read some poems I actually get into reading them because some can catch you attention by the way they are written or just by the way it is understood because some poems that are writer are out of love or frustration.During this unit about poetry I hope to learn how to understand poems more and to figure out what the poet was writing about and what mood was the poet was in when he/she wrote the poem.

Symbolism and Allegory Unit Reflection

Over the past few weeks my class has been working on the words and meanings of symbolism and allegory. I learned about symbol  because our teacher had us read a story about called “The Grandfather”, and One assignment we had to do was write a paragraph about what symbolizes one important person in your life. We learned about allegory from a story our teacher had us read called “The Cave”.  Assignment we had to do that includes allegory is what we would do if we were in the narrator’s situation in the story “The Cave”. We had to write the paragraph because in the story a man was nearly beaten to death and after gathering the strength to find shelter in a cave he was encouraged enough to go back to the people who had beaten him and fight again, he was encouraged because in the cave he found a bears skull, axe head, and a arrow head that had blinded the bear. And from those objects he knew that a man blinded the bear and killed it. Studying symbolism and allegory changed the way I was thinking because when I never knew there were so many ways you could symbolize something or someone.

Six items I would put on my symbolism string is 1. A Match because I have a short temper and I get mad very easy. 2. A number 3 because I have three brothers and three sisters. 3. A star because one day I want to have a star named after me. 4. A Chain link because when I was little my grandma always told me to be strong like a chain. 5. A NFL Logo because when I graduate college I want to get drafted into the NFL. 6. A phone because I like to text people a lot.
